TIPS FOR THE TEAMS
If the rules allow, A peppering of some wood ash will give the boots and tires the grip that lacks on ice.  Kitty litter and sand work well be don't hold a candle to plain old wood ash.  No need to dump piles of the stuff, just a 'peppering' up wind of the target area will let you do an Irish Jig on the ice and get the car out of a slick spot. (don't stomp on the gas, just creep right out, then floor it once your out!
